Why should I take this course?

This session will discuss and educate you on the myth and illegalness of roadblocks. We will see what the supreme court decision is on the topic.

We will look at the states that allow roadblocks and the ones that do not.

We will educate you on the do’s and don’ts at roadblocks from information by some of the best DUI attorneys, who eat, sleep and breath this topic.

For the states that allow roadblocks, we will talk about your rights at all roadblocks, the common ones being: DUI, license and equipment check, and Border patrol.

We will discuss the legalities of the Field Sobriety Test (Roadside Tests), the difference between the breathalyzer (handheld) used on the side of the road verse the Bac Test (Blood Alcohol Concentration) machine located inside the correctional facility or police station.

What is the implied consent law and what does it mean in your state?

The education you will receive from this session will give you the legal awareness needed when the next time you happened upon a police roadblock. Knowing with great confidence the myths and the reality concerning your rights.

Roadblocks test your 1st, 4th, 5th, and 14th amendment rights and if you do not know them, you may unknowingly waive them and can find yourself in handcuffs in the back of a police car heading to jail.

What makes this course different?

At JAEFA 814, each of our courses is different for two reasons. First, they are taught from an “insider’s” perspective. We can educate anyone using our own extensive situational experience and make complex ideas simple for anyone to understand.

Secondly, JAEFA courses are different because they incorporate a thorough understanding of laws and principles from our study of case laws. Case laws is what attorneys use to learn the law. Case law is the interpretation of state statues by judges in real case with real people along with evidence proven or disproven to accomplish a verdict of guilty or not guilty.

So while some classes may teach citizens surface level laws, JAEFA takes the deeper approach in order for you to understand your rights. After this session you will never waive your rights again and you will have learned the best defense against being charged with a DUI, is not to drink and drive at all.
